As January and February are historically slow times in the photography world, I decided to host several model calls to not only keep myself busy, but to practice new ideas and techniques.
This allows me to have free reign over the design of a shoot, but also to experiment with different editing styles, perfect my workflow, and try out different types of photography.
While I'm excited for warmer than -20 temperatures and outdoor shoots, I have really been enjoying working in my new studio space and getting familiar with both the limitations and the possibilities there.
I'm so excited to be able to offer newborn portraits, and also fine art styled maternity and mommy & me shoots. They have quickly become a favorite for me, and I look forward to improving my art and sharing it with others! This is such a unique time in a mother's life and it all goes so quickly! I know that every mother who decides to do a shoot like this will treasure those photos for decades to come!
I have managed to get photos of the majority of my maternity client closet now, which consists of about 30 different stunning dresses, bodysuits and flowing fabrics to add that EXTRA to any shoot from a clean and simple look, to an old world fine art royalty portrait style.
